The Context — The History
Ezekiel's valley of dry bones vision addressed exiles who said Israel's hope was dead. Breath and spirit language echoed creation in Genesis 2, when God breathed life into Adam.
The Narrative — The Lead-Up
God led Ezekiel through a battlefield of dry bones and commanded prophetic speech. Before sinews and flesh appeared, breath from the four winds would enter slain Israel and raise them to life.
