The Context — The History
Isaiah 62 promises Zion a new name and vindication after shame. Watchmen on Jerusalem's walls refuse silence until God establishes the city. The chapter climaxes with global proclamation that salvation approaches with reward and recompense for the redeemed.

God swears never to rest until Zion's righteousness shines like a blazing torch. Nations will see her glory under a new name. The Lord proclaims to earth's ends: tell Daughter Zion her Savior comes with reward and recompense accompanying him.
