The Context — The History
Jesus entered Jerusalem amid messianic expectations, cleansing the temple and debating leaders. His teaching in chapters 11–13 addresses prayer, authority, and the temple's coming destruction.

Jesus cursed a fig tree and taught on prayer, forgiveness, and the source of His authority. After parables against religious leaders, He spoke of future tribulation and urged disciples to pray with faith as they faced uncertainty.
