Honoring a Lifetime of Service
Pastor Crouther honorably bestowed Emeritus status upon Dr. Mary Jean Jiles in recognition of her many years of dedicated leadership and selfless service. Her impactful legacy as a Retired Educator of Milwaukee Public Schools, Dean of WGBSC CCE, Instructor of NBCUSA Inc. CCE and Pastor, highlights her incredible journey.
Church Women United Milwaukee Unit
NCBC women attended the book review and discussion of the novel, Sanctuary, written by Paola Mendoza and Abby Sher, June 17th, at the Sojourner Truth Family Peace Center. The stories of immigrant families seeking sanctuary in America to help foster a unified world community. Rooted in the belief that all people are God’s children, the project emphasizes that every individual is loved, welcome, and invited to share equitably in divine abundance.
Wisconsin General Baptist State Convention Laymen
WGBSC Laymen honored Dr. Crouther with a plaque recognizing him for 50 years of service in the community and church. Presenting Dr. Crouther with the plaque, Dea. Burtin and Dea. Roberts.
The National United Church Ushers Association of America
The National United Church Ushers Association of America celebrated their 69th Central Region Annual Conference March 26-28 at the Crown Plaza Milwaukee hosted by Rev, Keith Evans WGBSC President. The theme was “Ushers Continually Serving One Another with the Love of Christ, Expecting Nothing in Return” The Ministry focus was mental health. NCBC youth sang and performed a bell rendition.
