The Context — The History
Habakkuk questioned God about injustice in Judah and brutal Babylonian rise. The righteous living by faith became a cornerstone for Paul and early Christian endurance under persecution.

God answered that Babylon would itself be judged. Proud nations trust wine and violence, but the righteous survive through steadfast faithfulness while awaiting God's timing.
